Ballroom Dance for Kids (6+)

Why encourage kids to learn ballroom dance?
Ballroom Dance can be enjoyed by anyone of any ability or age, which makes it accessible to a wide range of people. If you can walk you can dance, which is why dance can be enjoyed from very young age.

Social enjoyment
In my personal experience, kids ballroom dance can be great fun for children and youths. For the very young age, kids are forming their relationships and are gaining acceptance from their peers. Ballroom dancing allows them to be social in a relaxed and fun way that creates friendships.

Dance provides exercise
Children need healthy amount of excersise that helps them grow and develop physical abilities. Dancing will also stimulate their brain activity and improve body control like no other physical activity.

Positive energy
Children have boundless amounts of energy, and at times this energy needs to be released. Dance allows children to vent their energy in a positive and healthy way.

Listening and concentration skills
Dancing promotes good listening and concentration skills as kids listen to the music and instructions to the dance moves.

Competitive Spirits
Kids are very competitive in nature. Ballroom dance is a perfect way to set goals for kids and harness young competitive spirits to prove they can be the best on the local competition circuit. Parents and Family will also enjoy the show and cheer for their favourite dancers while spending time together as a family.
